Onyx Team Holiday Bear Project
Onyx Team students are excited to display their Holiday Bears that represent the approximate $400.00 in donations collected from our team to sponsor a student enrolled in the CEA Holiday Bear Project. The students are very proud of their accomplishment for their eighth grade community service project. Top contributors are pictured.
Pearl Team Holiday Bear Project
The Pearl Team is happy to report that its Holiday Bear project was a huge success! We took on the challenge of sponsoring two children for the holidays. Students and teachers collected donations throughout the month of November and raised $844.96!
We were able to get all of the requested items of need for the children and plenty of “extras” to make the season special for them, too!
Mrs. Matfus’ homeroom (306) went above and beyond—our only homeroom with 100% participation and also the highest contribution. Their room alone generated $240.00!
Overall, 68% of the team helped us with the project and we all were reminded to appreciate what we have and how good it can feel to help others. Thanks to the students that stayed to help us wrap up the gifts, too.
Great job! We are proud of you!
