3...2...1... Lift Off
Students in Mr. Ligi's Science Class were treated to a "lift off" between Alec and Mr. Ligi. If students completed assignments and were well behaved, they went to the weight room to witness history in the making as Mr. Ligi and Alec competed to lift more weight. Who won...? Only that period knows!
Annual T-Bone Sing Along
Entertainer T-Bone Stankus came for his annual Holiday Sing-a-long, featuring classic hits such as Silent Night and Jingle Bells, and some fun favorites, too. At 9:30, a minute of silence was observed as a bell rang in remembrance of the Sandy Hook students and teachers.
8th graders took to the floor to perform their rendition of “Green Alligators and Long Neck Geese” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
French Holiday
Students who take French learned about various customs surrounding the Christmas holiday, and some made a traditional Bûche de Noël or Yule log cake for everyone to sample.
Let it Snow on Sandy Hook
Pearl Team students spent part of their last day of classes before winter break making snowflakes to send to the school Sandy Hook Elementary students will be attending after the holidays. Students were responding to a request for snowflakes to decorate the halls of the school-creating a winter wonderland- to help welcome the students and staff back to school.
Caroling we stroll along...
Tyrrell chorus students, led by teacher Mrs. Jones, visited classrooms to sing Christmas carols on December 21.
