Tyrrell Ski Night

On Friday Night 50+ students, teachers and family members from Tyrrell attended TMS Ski Night at Mount Southington. A great time was had by all that attended!

TMS Basketball to Air

The TMS Boys and Girls final home basketball games will be aired back to back and rerun on Comcast Channel 16 on Sunday, February 24, from 10 AM until 8 PM.

Basketball Final Home Games on TV

The Tyrrell Media Production Club students recorded the final boys and girls home basketball games at Tyrrell MS. They can be seen on COMCAST Cable Channel 16 on Sunday, 2/24, from 10am - 8pm.

TMS Game Designers

The students created a board game to review three units of vocab. We have a big test on Friday on all three units. Assignment: You are a board game manufacturer, and you have been assigned the task of creating a board game that will help students review units 6, 7, and 8 in a fun and interesting way. They were responsible for writing clear directions and creating relevant questions for the vocab units.

TYRRELL NIGHT AT MOUNT SOUTHINGTON

TYRRELL NIGHT AT MOUNT SOUTHINGTON When: Friday, February 22nd Time: 3:00-7:00 P.M. This is being offered as an opportunity for Tyrrell students and families to get together and enjoy an evening at the slopes at reduced rates. Please be aware that Tyrrell staff will not be providing the supervision for this event. Parents should supervise their own children at the slopes if they think they will need to be monitored throughout the evening. Mount Southington has their own staff on hand to supervise the activities at the slopes. Tyrrell staff will not be checking students in and out. All we are providing is the opportunity for Tyrrell families to purchase tickets at this reduced rate and have an enjoyable evening of skiing. See wolcottps.org for more info.

Football Friday

Tyrrell students wore football gear Friday in preparation for the Super Bowl this weekend. Even Mrs. Tansley was seen sporting a Giants jersey. Whoever your team-- enjoy the game this weekend.

Bear Hugs for Hope

Grade 8 Special Community Project for the Month of February--Bear Hugs for Hope American Cancer Society Fundraiser. We are collecting money in homerooms for the American Cancer Society. For every $25 we collect, a bear will be donated to a child fighting cancer. For more info click HERE.

Language "Art"

Tyrrell Art Teacher, Mr. Kelsey, brought life and humor to a recent grammar lesson in Mrs. Matfus' class. Very creative you two!

Canned Food Drive Winner
